MY CAREER TRANSITIONS

My Career Transitions:

Now a "regional program by Penn State Alumni Career Services for alumni and community members"

 NEW in 2025:

MCT will celebrate the start of our 3rd decade with a refreshed format and by merging with Penn State Alumni Career Services.  All meetings will continue to be open to the community free of charge. Our meetings will be on the  "3rd Tuesday" of the month, in the evenings, to allow everyone to enjoy a break on the weekends. May is an exception, where the event is in-person on Monday night. See the "Register for our Next Event" page.

Each year, we'll have a mix of speakers presenting virtually on a subject that is highly-relative to job-seekers.  Plus 3 or more local in-person networking events in the Greater Philadelphia area where professionals can come together and network in-person in a comfortable social setting.

NOTE: Future email invites will come from Penn State Alumni Association (alumni@psu.edu)  Be sure to add this to your contact list to avoid them going to spam filters.

For complete details, read the letter from our founder here.

Events dates through 2025 are already on the events page.

But don’t take our word for it. See what our members have to say about My Career Transitions:

This group has taken the fear out of networking – although I am still not networking as effectively as most. The presentations from the speakers are always thought-provoking and insightful. The speakers help keep me focused and gaining new perspectives. - Cliff L.
MCT helped me 'get the religion' of networking in a very comfortable setting and atmosphere. I really did not know what to expect but my first meeting made networking part of my everyday job. The people who attend and run the meetings are the best. - Suzanne F
The volunteers are willing to go above and beyond for MCT members and make the meetings feel like comfortable and safe spaces. I did not feel lectured or talked down to. Career transitions can be very discouraging, but everyone was very supportive, friendly, and optimistic. The meeting left me feeling empowered, not overwhelmed. Bravo, MCT! - Howard L.
Hard to believe it was an event run by all volunteers. It was awesome all the way around. Just goes to show what the human spirit can do. Amazing. - Paul E.

Ranked as a top networking association in the area ever year for decades by The Philadelphia Business Journal.
