Partnership Helps Professionals in Career Transitioning Process

Penn State Great Valley presents My Career Transitions to provide My Career Transitions' free, monthly forum for area professionals so that they can learn, exchange information, and develop networking relationships to help themselves through job transition.

What is now called "My Career Transitions" was started in 2005 by our founder, Bart Ruff. Over nearly two decades, along with mergers with Company of Friends and ASTD's career group, the group has helped more than 15,000 area professionals navigate job transition. And they've done it without funding - relying on the efforts of an all-volunteer group that contributes their time as a way to “pay it forward” and help others. “The purpose of the group is to be a resource for professionals who, despite successful careers, simply don't know how to navigate a downsizing or other career change, so they're not alone. I am pleased that Penn State Great Valley is our partner, venue host and sponsor so that we can continue to help people without any cost to them." said Ruff.

Monthly meetings are held the second Saturday of every month (except Dec and Aug.) at the Penn State Great Valley campus at 30 E. Swedesford Rd., Malvern. They feature a speaker that educates the group on a relevant topic and opportunities for networking and support.
